Chuck is often asked by chamber of commerce and association executives to share the one thing they can do to foster the success of their organizations… and the answer is simple… establish a well thought-out strategic planning process.

Jack Welch, the former CEO of GE, is quoted as saying, “if the rate of change outside of the organization is greater than the rate of change within the organization, the end is near.” You must make certain that the organization remains on the leading edge and is relevant and meaningful to your members.

Chuck teaches strategic planning for the Institute for Organization Management, the premier professional development program for organization executives through the United States Chamber of Commerce. In the summer of 2011, Chuck served as the lead facilitator and trainer for 32 executives from business development organizations from throughout North Africa. One of his areas of instruction for the group was how to develop meaningful strategic and operational plans.

Chuck Ewart has facilitated hundreds of planning retreats and written numerous strategic plans for organizations throughout the United States. The 1800-member Greensboro, NC, Chamber of Commerce received an “award of merit” from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) for the strategic business plan written in collaboration with The Ewart Group.
